Round 03 Signups

Please read these rules as well as the information before signing up. This round is a special round. In this round you will claim either one movie and another movie, or one show and another show, you can also claim one movie and the other half one show. You will be doing 5 icons of your first claim then the other 5 of your second claim. Cat and AC are up to you.





Guidelines


• You must be a member to participate.
• Characters and claims can only be claimed 3 times.
• Sign ups will be open for the duration of this round.
• You must be a member of LiveJournal and a member of the community to participate.
• You can change your claim at any time.

50/50 - half of your icon should contain one thing, the other half should contain another. So half the icon could be a cap of your claim and the other half could be a texture. Or you could use two caps, or a solid color.
topside - focus must be on the top part of the icon.
promo - use a promo image of your claim to make your icon.
occ red carpet - make an icon of the actress who plays your claimed HBIC from a red carpet event. Doesn't have to be from the premiere of the movie you are claiming them for :)
pastels - make an icon using pastel colors, sort of that washed out appearance.
split screen - doesn't have to be an exact 50/50 split, can be a small split or numerous layers if you wish.
corner focus - the focal point of the icon should draw the eye to one of the corners.
group - your icon must feature 3 or more people, including your character.
in the box - you must include a squared box in your icon with your character in it.
texture cray - you must include a bunch of textures on your icon. It should be obvious that your icon is heavy on textures.
smile + no eyes - show your claim smiling but without their eyes in the icon. You can crop the eyes out of the image or obscure them in some way (with text/brushes/etc) if you'd like :)
genderbend - Icon your claim with another actor/actress opposite of the gender your using that you think would be a good version of your claim.
category - Shipping - Icon your category set with your favorite ships of your claim. Can be different ships or just one. Can also be slash, het, canon, non-canon.
partial face - crop the image of your claim in such a way that half of their face is obscured. eg:
single color - your icon should be made of shades of the one color.
tv/movie crossover - If your claim is from a TV show, create a crossover icon with a movie. Or if your claim is from a movie, create a crossover icon with a TV show. If you picked a movie and different movie or tv show and different tv show same applies. For example my claim is
9-1-1 and b, so I would make an icon with each show and make it a crossover.
bitch, please - this one is all about expression, one of those faces that just makes you think your claim
is giving all the attitude of "Bitch, please." You can include the words on your icon, but it's

Suggestions (optional) - Re-Imagine (Recreate your claim in a diff time period, could be anything from a vintage texture to picking actors from another time period to be in your claim), Color Splash, Glow, Genre Swap (Make an icon of your claim as a different genre.), Family (icon of claim with family or the people they consider family), Neon, Flag Inspired (Could be any flag (pride, country, etc. Use the colors in the icon), Dream (could be character in a dream or a dream-like aesthetic), tropical, nature, dark/light (could be visual or characters with darker and lighter personalities), claim crossover (between the two claims), provided font/text texture

Do you by any chance have any example icons for re-imagine? That one sounds really interesting and fun. I also remember the flag one in a round I did in a LJ 20in20 comm, that one was interesting.

I made a few as examples.

1. Modern Twin Peaks 2. Parks and Rec in 1930s 3. Doctor Who in 1930s/Screwball Era
I also made one of recasting someone in the claim if it goes beyond 'time period'

So 1 through 3 is for re-imagine correct?

Yes. I made the first three for reimagine with time period in mind like my description and made the fourth if the theme was expanded beyond time period and included reimagining in other ways.

Did not expect these two from you. :) Nice change though. Did you just get into them? Both good shows. I need to catch up with Legacies, forgot where I left off when I got into other stuff.
